You can now mount the dimmer in the dash for easier access.
The dimmer is also heavy duty enough to run several gauges or even several pods of gauges should you choose to add more.
A dash mounted unit also allows you to turn the gauge lights to almost off when traveling on dark roads if the lights are distracting while leaving the OEM gauge lights lit.
Install the dimmer and attach one wire from the dimmer to the gauge lighting wire and the other dimmer wire to the 12 volt (light switch activated) power source.
